Defining Your ‘Dream’ Home… 16 currently on the Phoenix Luxury Real Estate Market

Dream Home

The Wall Street Journal just came out with an article of

Dream Homes in Real Estate Listings

Of all the luxury homes currently for sale, only 1.7% of them are described as dream homes.

Analyzing properties priced at $1 million or above, real-estate listings site HomeFinder.com found that the average dream house in the U.S. costs $2,178,797, measures 5,380 square feet and has four or five bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms.

The most expensive properties described as a “dream house” or “dream home” are found in Hawaii, where homes are listed for $2,955,037.

Dream homes in New York come next, with an average listing price of $2,631,805.

In Phoenix, Arizona there are 16 homes currently listed as dream homes (Priced over a million).  With average list price of $2,155,742. In the Phoenix area a dream home can be anything from the perfect location, to unobstructed desert or city views, top of the mountain private estate, to a brand new move in ready home.  Amazingly enough agents who list some of the nicest homes for sale in Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Arcadia, Biltmore, Carefree, Cave Creek, and throughout the Valley of the Sun do not describe these luxury homes as dream homes but do use other sophisticated words to describe the listings.
